As we continue physical distancing to keep each other safe, we’re calling on our Riverfront community to come together in spirit and kick-off summer with us for another #BeingApartTogether fundraiser, presented by Citizens. Building on the success of the 2020 campaign, this second physically-distant, socially-connected fundraiser will celebrate summer on the Detroit Riverfront and raise critical funds to support our essential work.
Join us on Thursday, July 8th at 6pm for a special Battle of the Bands virtual concert, broadcast from our Facebook and Youtube, where we will bring performers from across the region together for a bit of friendly competition to vie for a Main Stage spot on a future River Days lineup. The winners will be selected by the community, so be sure to tune-in and vote for your favorite band.
Supporters of #BeingApartTogether will receive a package of limited-edition riverfront items, locally-sourced gifts, and unique activities, curated in partnership with Detroit’s City Bird. Create your own summer memories on the riverfront with this exclusive collection of treasures, and spread the riverfront cheer by supporting the Buy-One-Give-One program where a family from one of our local charity partners will receive their own box of summer fun.
Whether in your backyard or your favorite riverfront park, we invite you to support our essential work by #BeingApartTogether this summer!
