Kick-off summer in style at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy’s largest annual fundraiser, Shimmer on the River. Hosted for the first time at Robert C. Valade Park, this unforgettable evening will feature beach-themed fun, live music from Alise King, a Riverfront Boardwalk filled with summer activities, a family-friendly Adventure Park, delicious food and refreshments, and more!
The Conservancy is proud to announce the 2022 Shimmer Award Honorees will be the Hudson Family and Pamela Rodgers. From the long-time support of DRFC Board Member Jennifer Hudson-Parke to the Hudson-Webber Foundation, the Hudson Family continues to be an anchor for the sustainability of the riverfront. As a founding board member and long-time audit committee chair, Pamela Rodgers served as a steady hand and financial guide to establish the Conservancy as a trusted steward of funds supporting the riverfront revitalization.
