Conservancy Receives Numerous Awards In 2014

December 16, 2014 [DETROIT] - This year was a banner year for the Conservancy in terms of receiving accolades for its successful riverfront revitalization efforts, with the organization receiving awards at a local, regional, national and even international level.
Among the recognition received this year:

In April, the Conservancy was recognized by the American Planning Association with a prestigious Planning Excellence Award for Implementation.

This summer, the organization was honored by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments with a Regional Ambassador Award for leadership and service.

This fall, the Mt. Elliott Park project received kudos as one of the finalists for the Development/Redevelopment of the Year from Urban Land Institute - Michigan.

In October, the Detroit Riverfront was named one of the 10 Best American Riverfronts by readers of USA Today. Thank you to all the supporters who voted for the Detroit riverfront.

Last month, the Conservancy received the prestigious Excellence on the Waterfront Honor Award from The Waterfront Center during a gala in Washington, D.C.
