Detroit RiverFront Conservancy Seeks Operator For Popular Riverfront Cafe

November 5, 2014 - [DETROIT] The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy is seeking proposals for a vendor to run the operations of its RiverWalk Cafe, which is located at Rivard Plaza, a popular east riverfront destination that features a carousel, bike shop, boat tours, restrooms and other amenities.
The winning operator will provide daily seasonal or year-round food service that is affordable to riverfront patrons and that is also representative of the tastes of Detroiters.
The proposal may also include the operation of satellite concessions locations at Mt. Elliott Park, Gabriel Richard Park and food carts in approved locations along other portions of the RiverWalk, such as the West RiverWalk and the Dequindre Cut.

WHO:
The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, which serves as the perpetual steward of the RiverWalk, the Dequindre Cut and all the public spaces along the riverfront.
WHEN:
Proposals are due Friday, December 12 at 5 p.m.
A mandatory pre-bid site visit to café is scheduled for Monday, November 17 at 1 p.m.
