World Clean-Up Day on the Riverfront

Sep 19, 2020 - 10:00am to Sep 20, 2020 - 12:45pm

Join Detroit Riverfront Conservancy for World Clean-Up Day! We are hosting a bring your own (heavy duty) trash bag Clean-Up along the Riverfront, the Dequindre Cut and Atwater, Woodbrige and Franklin streets! Come solo or social distance with a friend. Clean for a few hours or casually collect trash along your walk. When you're done, simply close the bag and leave it along the side of the Cut or street and our cleaning team will pick it up.

What: Riverfront Clean Up of the Dequindre Cut and surrounding streets along Woodbridge, Franklin and Atwater.

When: September 19 10AM - 1PM

What to Bring: Bring your own heavy duty trash bag, gloves and anything else you may need. Masks are required to be worn. (BYOB)

How it Works: Interested volunteers can come down to the Detroit Riverfront and pick up a bag of trash or two. When bag is filled leave on the side of the Cut or street and our cleaning team will come by and pick it up later.

Volunteer Check-In : There will be no volunteer check-in, but we will have a table stationed at Robert C. Valade Park and the entrance to the Dequindre Cut (Woodbridge St.) for those who forgot a trash bag or gloves.

Parking: There is free parking at Valade Park (corner of Atwater & Chene), Cullen Plaza, and the Eastern Market lots at Wilkins & Orleans.
