The 2019 River Days will be held June 21- June 23 on the beautiful Detroit riverfront. This one of a kind festival takes place along the Detroit Riverfront at West Riverfront Park - the future site of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park.  River Days is a celebration of Detroit’s RiverWalk with activities on land and water.    Experience all the RiverWalk has to offer, from the jet-ski demos to live music, sand sculptures, delicious eats and much more!

For the past 12 years, River Days has served as the official kickoff to summer for many Metro Detroiters.  In 2018, GM River Days presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort drew 150,000 people to the shores along the Detroit River for a family-friendly three-day weekend of music, activities, food and fun.

This year, West Grand Boulevard meets West Riverfront Park as the city celebrates 60 years of the Motor City’s signature sound. In partnership with Motown Museum, Detroit River Days will welcome an array of national music stars to the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort National Stage, including “King of Motown,” Smokey Robinson and R&B group Mary Jane Girls on Friday evening. Legendary R&B singer Brandy and R&B singer Brian McKnight will electrify the stage on Saturday night along with local band Notorious. The fun picks up again Sunday evening with the melodic sounds of R&B Singers Faith Evans and R&B singer Carl Thomas.

Concerts are included with River Days Admission, however VIP premier seats are available for purchase for the major headlining performances featured on the National Stage. Tickets cost $35 and include admission to the festival. Tickets can be purchased online here.

The Detroit Riverfront will host national and local musical acts, feature our Flagstar Bank Kids Zone (which includes FREE live theatre, music, face painting, and arts and crafts), outdoor activities from the Michigan DNR, buskers/traveling entertainers, yoga on the river, and several water-related activities, including an air show by Tuskegee Airmen National Historical Museum and live jet ski demonstrations. The festival’s Kroger Food Truck Rally will include over 110 food trucks throughout the weekend and will be Michigan’s largest food truck rally yet. As part of the food truck experience, participating food trucks will take part in a cooking competition to create a Motown-themed dish.

ADMISSION COST: Admission to River Days is $5 to support the non-profit Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and all paid admission attendees receive a wristband and $3 in food coupons to use at event food trucks.  River Days is FREE to enter on Friday between 11am-5pm.
