Enjoying the Riverfront
Detroit Riverfront Conservancy is committed to keeping the riverfront safe for guests. While the RiverWalk and the Dequindre Cut Greenway remain open, the play scapes at Cullen Plaza and at Robert C. Valade Park are closed for the safety of all riverfront visitors. The restrooms at Cullen Plaza, Valade Park, Mt. Elliott Park and Gabriel Richard Park are open and are being cleaned regularly. The associated parking lots are open to the public Monday - Thursday, and are closed Friday - Sunday. If you opt to visit, we ask that you wear a mask and maintain a distance of at least six feet from other guests. - To refresh your walk or run, check out the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy's one mile, 5k and five mile routes.
- Families in need can pick-up meals for children under 18 and those with special needs on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:45pm - 3:15pm at Cullen Plaza (1340 Atwater, Detroit MI 48207). For a complete schedule and other locations, click here.
- Music Mondays - Weekly at 10am: Sing-a-long with two of your favorite performers from Reading and Rhythm on the Riverfront - Kevin Devine and Joe Riley! Sessions are streamed via Facebook Live. Did you miss a show? Watch it here.
- Color your way through Detroit's public spaces with the Detroit Parks Coloring Book!
- Yoga with Michelle Moten - Fridays at 12pm: Join Michelle Moten of Urban Solace for a yoga class. Classes are streamed via Facebook Live.
- Virtual Detroit Riverfront Run - June 2020: Public space is more important than ever, so please support the Detroit RiverWalk and Dequindre Cut by participating in the Virtual Detroit Riverfront Run! This race is normally held in person the first weekend in June, but this year we're asking our supporters to #BeApartTogether while still showing their love for the riverfront. All participants will receive a performance tech t-shirt, medal and race bib to wear during their run or walk their virtual 5k or 10k. Register today!
