Healing in nature patch program

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has partnered with Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan to offer the Healing in Nature patch program, giving troops the opportunity to explore the many ways that the outdoors affects our mental health. Girl Scouts of all levels can earn both the Healing in Nature patch and Detroit Riverfront patch by visiting Gabriel Richard Park and completing the 10 activities detailed in the packet. All instructions, including a facilitation script, are provided along with resources for additional learning. Leaders can bring their troop to Gabriel Richard park at any point during open hours (daily 6a-10p) to complete the activities.

Not a Girl Scout troop? Feel free to download the packet and adapt as needed for your use.
