Work continues on the Uniroyal Promenade with crews currently working on a drain along the property. Once that work is complete in the coming weeks, efforts will turn to finish paving the Riverwalk, as well as installing benches, lighting and security cameras. This scenic stretch of Riverwalk will connect Gabriel Richard Park with Mt. Elliott Park, and provide safe pedestrian passage to the bridge to Belle Isle. When completed later this fall, the Uniroyal section of Riverwalk will include an extra-wide pathway with separate lanes for walkers and bicyclists, colorful landscaping and a stone barrier of rip rap along the water’s edge.
