March 24, 2020 - DETROIT-  The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy team would like to let everyone know that the RiverWalk and the Dequindre Cut Greenway are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. during Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s "Stay at Home, Stay Safe" order that took effect today.

The Governor’s order allows for Michigan residents to leave their homes to engage in outdoor activity as long as a social distancing range of six feet is maintained. This provides everyone with the opportunity to get outside and enjoy some exercise and fresh air while remaining safe.

While the RiverWalk and the Dequindre Cut Greenway remain open, we have closed the play scapes at Cullen Plaza and at Robert C. Valade Park for the safety of all riverfront visitors.  The restrooms at Cullen Plaza will remain open and are being cleaned regularly.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy remains committed to providing beautiful and accessible public spaces for everyone to enjoy during this challenging time.  If you visit the riverfront today or in the coming weeks, please remember to give your fellow visitors the recommended six feet of space to keep everyone safe. See you on the Detroit Riverfront.
