Construction of the David Campbell Memorial Terrace being built along the Dequindre Cut in honor of the Conservancy’s former Board member continues at a swift pace.  Currently, crews are putting the finishing touches on restoring the concrete wall that was once used to support a bridge over the railway.   A concrete header has been installed at the top of the wall, and will be used to anchor the canopy that hangs above the performance area.  Utility companies are working on the relocation of gas and electric lines.  When all underground relocations are complete, the foundations for the seat walls and steps will be placed.

Construction of the Campbell Memorial Terrace is scheduled for completion in September.  Plans for a grand opening celebration are currently underway.
