Plans are moving forward to build a pedestrian bridge over the boat slips that were formerly used by the U.S. Coast Guard, which will connect Chene Park East to the Stroh River Place property.  The project is set to begin this fall.

In addition to the pedestrian bridge, the project includes installation of the same amenities that can be found elsewhere along the riverfront, such as stainless steel benches, new lighting, security cameras and colorful landscaping.  Enhancements will make the area more aesthetically pleasing and provide access to a portion of the RiverWalk that was never before open to the public.

All work is scheduled to be complete by fall 2017.
