ARETHA AMPHITHEATER / STROH RIVER PLACE CONNECTION

Plans are moving forward to build a pedestrian bridge over the boat slips that were formerly used by the U.S. Coast Guard, which will connect the East portion of the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater to the Stroh River Place property.

In addition to the pedestrian bridge, the project includes installation of the same amenities that can be found elsewhere along the riverfront, such as stainless steel benches, new lighting, security cameras and colorful landscaping.  Enhancements will make the area more aesthetically pleasing and provide access to a portion of the RiverWalk that was never before open to the public.
