December 8, 2017 [DETROIT] - As a four-season destination, the Detroit Riverfront has something for everyone.  It is a destination that provides visitors with the chance to embrace the snow and cold weather while enjoying the beauty of nature and getting some exercise outdoors.

The Conservancy’s Operations team prides itself on its efforts to keep the RiverWalk and the Dequindre Cut clear of snow for those individuals who enjoy a brisk walk or run in the cold temperatures.

The Cut and Milliken State Park are popular destinations for cross country skiing and snow-shoeing during the winter months.  The hill at the state park is also a popular destination for downhill sledding.  Directly across the street, the Outdoor Adventure Center is open year round for hands-on fun.

The Conservancy’s Programming team is currently working on plans for wintertime activities later this season.  Watch for more information about free family-friendly programming in the weeks to follow.
