Is my brick purchase tax-deductible?

Yes, your brick purchase is a charitable donation and is tax-deductible. You will receive a letter acknowledging your contribution when you place your order.

What are the sizes and prices of the bricks?

$100 - 4" x 8" - 2 lines of text
$500 - 8" x 8" - 5 lines of text

Where will my brick be placed?

Brick purchases in Rivard Plaza are sold out, yet Pavers are still available. Bricks are currently being installed in Gabriel Richard Park, followed by Mt. Elliott Park. Bricks are installed in alternating stripes of gray and tan on the plaza floor. The 4" x 8" bricks are gray, and the 8" x 8" pavers are cream.

How much can I write on a brick?

Inscriptions must fit in the allotted 14 characters per line including spaces and punctuation marks. Any character on the keyboard may be used such as "&" for "and," or dashes instead of a comma and space. Unfortunately, if the character isn't on a regular keyboard (like a heart, for example), we are unable to inscribe it on your brick. Every space and punctuation mark is counted as a character. The Conservancy reserves the right to edit brick text requests.

How long until my brick will appear on the plaza?

Our engraver works on-site between the months of May and October. Brick purchases are placed in the order they are received. The installation schedule is dependent upon quantity and weather conditions. You will be notified by letter or an email when your brick order has been completed. Brick orders placed after November 1 will be installed the following spring.

What should I write on my brick?

Create a message that is meaningful to you! You might choose a name, date, or phrase. No advertisements or websites please, and the inscription must be appropriate for a public place. Check out others' inspiring messages and get creative!

How will I find my brick once it is installed?

Finding your brick can be half the fun!  However, to assist you, you'll be provided with an exact location at the time of installation.

Can I designate the location of my bricks?

Groups of bricks can be placed together, if they are purchased at the same time. ** SALES FOR COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS AND PAVERS AT RIVARD PLAZA AND PAVILION ARE NOW CLOSED, AS WE HAVE REACHED FULL CAPACITY - PAVERS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. ORDERS ARE CURRENTLY BEING TAKEN FOR PLACEMENT OF A BRICK OR PAVER AT GABRIEL RICHARD AND MT. ELLIOTT PARKS.

What if I want to change the text on my brick, or get a larger size?

Changes can be made up until the time of engraving.

What happens after I order?

After placing your order, you will receive a letter verifying our understanding of your wishes. Within a few weeks, depending upon the time of the year, you will get a second letter or an email letting you know that your brick is engraved and the exact location.

How long will my brick be there?

The Conservancy will maintain the plaza, including your brick, for the next 20 years. Your message will be there to enjoy for years to come.
